One of the main reasons you may be homeschooling is because you want to teach your child YOUR religious and moral values, not someone else’s.

If you don’t teach these values to them, then someone else will. The public schools try to portray themselves as religiously and morally neutral, but don’t be fooled. There is no such thing as neutrality when it comes to religion and morality.

It’s no secret that the Holy Bible has effectively been banned from the U.S. public school system.

The so-called “Separation of Church and State”, which is not found anywhere in the U.S. Constitution, has been misused to eliminate any teaching of Biblical morality and instruction.

It has been replaced by a humanistic, atheistic philosophy that excludes God and says instead that the entire universe is just a result of countless “accidents” that happened to turn out right.

The “Big Bang”, evolution, and billions of years all worked together to create the universe as we know it today. Yeah, right… So take your choice. If you think evolution is the way to go (even though it’s scientifically unsupported), then send them off to your local public school.

At least you know now what you’re getting, so you won’t have to be surprised when they come home one day and declare that their teacher has convinced them that the Bible is nothing but a collection of myths and tales.

But if you’re like us, you realize the extreme importance of teaching your homeschooler The Bible, not only for the moral principles and historical narrative, but because of the eternal consequences for their souls from the Words it contains.

You don’t want to use a heavy hand to force your child into believing what you want them to believe, but you want to gently lead them to know the love of God through Jesus. And you want them to show that same love for others and be “doers” of The Word.

The Bible itself is obviously your first choice for teaching your home schooler about the Lord and His teachings, but other study helps can stimulate your child’s interest. What you need is a creative and motivating format for teaching God’s Word to your children.

Adela and James Osmond have put together a great package of Bible worksheets and activities called “Plant The Word”.

If you’re one of those moms (or dads) interested in learning how to teach your young children God’s Word efficiently while learning along with them, then you should check out Plant The Word.

Learning to read, write and memorize scriptures takes time, patience, practice, and proper instruction.

Parents and Christian teachers alike have found that Plant the Word’s creative format allows them to teach all three essentials at once. Plant the Word can be used at home or as creative Sunday school teaching aids too.

James and Adella’s web site also has a lot of great home schooling information and resources, so even if you’re not interested in the product, it’s worth your time to visit and just browse around for awhile.
